Raindrops are fallin' on my head...LOTS of them...and MORE to come!

Wow, talk about RAIN to the max, we're getting it...along with flash flood warnings etc. Rain came in last night and has continued all morning...some of us here in the Ozarks are supposed to get six inches maybe...that's a LOT O' RAIN! We've had some thunder and lightning but nothing severe, just a lot of water...lazy kinda day, I need to be sorting craft stuff and boxing it to move downstairs but here I sit...

Another Card from the Workshop in September...

At the workshop I also demonstrated the versatile and very FUN "Big Shot" die cutting machine, this card was made with a Stampin Up exclusive die called an "embossilit" which cuts AND embosses at the same time, this one is so pretty, it looks like a mum I think anyway!

Sorry for the delay...

Gosh, it's sure been awhile since I started this blog, I do apologize for the delay in posting...I am in the process of moving my crafting studio from the an upstairs bedroom to the downstairs and much larger former family room. With the kids all moved out now, that family room space has only been used for storage and it's TIME to claim it as my own crafting studio. So we've been painting, putting in large ceramic tiles, redoing the woodwork, painting shelving and getting ready for the BIG move! I am going to hold classes and workshops down there also, so have purchased some chairs and a table etc. I will post photos as soon as everything is in and ready to use! So this is why I have been out of pocket on the blog, I do hope you'll forgive me.

My first Stampin Up workshop in September went well, we had a lot of fun, and even though I was tremendously nervous, I cannot wait to do another one!

Here's the cards that we did at the workshop:

This one was done with the gorgeous background stamp called "Medallion" it is such a beautiful stamp...this technique is called "rock and roll" cause you use one color ink and then "rock" the edges and other portions in a darker color Here we used the in colors "crushed curry" and "dusty durango" for a very autumn look to it, and put one of Stampin Up's pretty rhinestone square "fire" brads in the middle.

It's hard to believe that it's been 8 years since the fateful date of 9/11 2001...if you're like me, you remember exactly where you were and what you were doing on that horrendous morning! I remember just being fixated on my tv and crying my heart out as it all unfolded for days on end! So much has changed in my life and I'm sure in yours since then...my beloved Mom has passed away, I have new grandbabies and life goes on but I'll NEVER forget that day and the horrendous days that followed...please stop today and say a prayer for all those innocent lives lost in the planes and the buildings and for the families that continue to have to go on without their loved ones...such a needless and mindless act of terrorism! May God bless America with peace and love!

Hi all...it's been a beautiful day here in the Missouri Ozarks, pretty cool and autumn like,did I tell you all how MUCH I love AUTUMN! I pretty much think about it all year...lol! Such a gorgeous time, all the stores now are getting pumpkins, corn stalks, Halloweeen decorations...well you get the picture.

I'm in the process of getting tile put in the downstairs family room, the 18 x 18 inch tiles and we've painted the room Easter Amber...such a pretty color, reminds me of butterscotch ice cream topping! This is going to be my new craft studio, it's about 19 x 12, much bigger than the one that I'm using upstairs right now. I'm so excited about my first workshop this coming Monday night with a few jitters too I might add!

I am busy learning the My Digital Studio software that Stampin Up just launched and having a blast with it..here's my first scrapbook page I made today!

Have you heard the news???? Stampin Up has released their very own brand new digital software for scrapbooking, card making, calendar making and much much MORE! My copy arrived today and I have been having the MOST fun playing with it, it comes with over 2000 of Stampin Up's cardstock, designer papers, stamp images, punches etc. all DIGITAL, which mean you can design TONS and TONS of fun things! WOOHOO!

Hello all...taking the BLOG plunge! lol..

Hello world out there,  recently taken TWO huge plunges, one is to become a Stampin Up demonstrator...and NOW to BLOG about it and much more I'm sure~!

So here goes with the blog...where to start, probably why I've decided to become a Stampin Up demo..in short, because I love the PRODUCTS! Been buying them and going to workshops, classes, etc. for five years now and decided to try my hand at something I absolutely LOVE..and if I make some cash on the side to help pay for my addiction, well then all the better! (smile)

Anyway, I am going to hold my first workshop on Monday night Sept. 14th at 7pm, my good  friend Kristi Van Doren is going to be the hostess (nothing like your first workshop being with a veteran stamper..lol) but we're going to have a blast! Got some awesome projects up my sleeve and will post them after the workshop is over. Got to tell you I'm a bit nervous about my first workshop but I'm sure all will be fine and fun! How can you NOT have fun chatting, munching a few goodies, stamping and making beautiful cards and 3D projects with friends???? It's an all round good time to say the least and one you should TRY!
